Yes you misunderstood.

I meant that they don't do it here before 7 weeks because once the hearts beating the chance of loss is lower.
Whereas to scan before then something could still be wrong- so they don't see the point (is what the sonographer told me) as potentially gets people's hopes up

My doctor orders a scan at 6 week. He calls it a dating scan.. Although I had mine at what I thought was 6 weeks and it caused more stress than anything because all they found was a sack and yolk. And they dated me at 5+3.

I'm not so sure early scans are a good idea for anxiety reasons unless your having issues..
