Hi ladies,
I'm going to be calling the doctor today but I just wanted some opinions.

I'm not even 4 weeks pregnant yet but I do occasionally have sort of a pinching and sometimes throbbing pain on my right side near my ovary or fallopian tube. I have not had any spotting except a tiny bit on Saturday.

What bothers me is on Saturday when I had the slight spotting, I had cramps on the right side that spread to the rest of my uterus. It last about 30 minutes. I have not had it since then. I'm not sure if that was implanation and maybe the baby implanted on the right side of my uterus or if it could be ectopic.

If anyone has experienced this sort of pain, please let me know. I'm worried.

FYI- this is only my 2nd time being pregnant and I have never had any miscarriages or previous history of ectopic. I do not have any fertility issues that I am aware of.

This pain that you talk about is completely normal!! If it becomes really uncomfortable then I would think it is ectopic. But right now I think the sensation you are talking abuot is the babe digging in deep.

It won't hurt to go see the Dr if you are worried but most women with an ectopic wont know for at least another week.

I suffered a suspected ectopic at the end of Jan and have a bunch of great woman for support that went through this with me. Some of them went a lot further than I before they even knew of the ectopic. They will tell you the same as I. The pain is usually from the blastocyst getting bigger in the tube, and at 4 weeks it is barely the size of a poppy seed!!

GL I hope you get all the reassurance that everything will be ok!!

Thank you for replying! I appreciate it!:flower:

Heya, I had discomfort where my uterus was although had no idea I was pregnant but when I found out I was I panicked about it being an ectopic pregnancy but had an early scan and all seemed fine!

Hope it all works out for you x

Hi I had pinching pains in my left side too which has only just stopped, sometimes it can be the corpus luteum cyst that develops after ovulation it's totally normal but the pain shouldn't be really painful and should get better not worse, speak to ur doc if your worried :)

When I had my ectopic pregnancy, the pain never abated. I had a spotting episode of brown gunk, then a few days later, I was full on bleeding. I had pain on my right side, and pain in my rectal area. Sitting down on a hard chair (specifically my piano bench) was like having a knife stab me in the groin/bottom. The pain and cramping never went away. I also felt constipated and just generally felt awful in my abdominal area.

Having a pain that comes and goes on one side is normal in pregnancy. I had pain during the first trimester this time around on my right side (ironically, the suspected ectopic side) for several weeks that would come and go, and period-type cramps. If you have increasing pain though that will not go away, don't hesitate to go to the hospital or contact your doctor.

Thank you everyone for your input! I appreciate it greatly!

When I had my ectopic I began bleeding which never stopped the pain was so bad I cried my dr said I was only 2 weeks I guess from fertilization I would literally double over,
This time I have pains, cramps, pulls which am now sure is normal since we have seen baby and heartbeat if your really worried see if you dr will check your hcg levels good luck and hugs

I had an ectopic last year, and I didn't have any pains until I go to around 6-7 weeks where the baby was growing and was stretching the tube.

This time round I was convinced I was having another one as I had excruciating pains on my left side, but it turns out I ovulated on my right side! My GP said that the pains were normal, I was just more aware of them due to my previous ectopic.
