I've got my 20 week anomaly scan today & was just wondering if anyone knows if Leith CTC tells you the baby's sex if asked. I've heard that NHS Lothian don't say... Is this true?

Yes, I think they do if you ask. I'm not having my anomaly scan there but I know others who have and they found out the sex of their baby. :)

I was at Leith CTC on Monday. We asked, but baby didn't co-operate and we didn't try to make it move, so staying :yellow:.

I got / get mines at ERI and they definitely tell you if they can!

Leith CTC can tell you. But I do think they use the "baby isnt co-operating excuse" depending on the sonographer! In my first pregnancy we had all scans there and i looked pretty young and got spoken down too.

One sonographer in my second pregnancy shook his head and said in most case they can see, they just dont attempt :dohh: After my first short pregnancy, everyone seemed lovely second time round after the circumstances :grr:

Oh that is interesting! I wonder if that happened to us - although she did point out the babies legs and how close they were together, and did have an attempt at looking. But I'm actually pretty happy now not to know. I'm very good at rationalizing :haha:

my hormones didnt allow me to be rational back them  hiya babybond :haha

Thanks ladies!
We were very lucky to have a lovely sonographer called Jamie.
He explained everything he was looking at as he went along.
Everything present & correct with no anomalies thank goodness!
We're officially team :blue: Yay!! :happydance:

Yay! Jamie is the best, eh? I had him for my 12 week, and he was so adorable and excited for us, I just loved him.

Ok I admit it.... It was him who told us what I said earlier... :haha: I didn't want to name names  we've had him several times. The guy is fabulous x
