My doctor told me today that he thinks I may have PCOS  He's running some blood tests and then I guess we're going to take it from there.

If I do have PCOS, what kind of effects is it going to have on my fertility? Is it going to limit the amount of time I have to be able to have more children?

Thanks in advance ladies. :flower:

i have it not the hormonal one but the cysts one took me a year to fall preg but i dont think me worrying and stressing helped because the moment i got my appointment through to see a specialist we stopped stressing worrying etc then bam a week b4 my appointment i found out i was preg

effects for me were very irregular cycles that was about it with the hormonal one i know you can get pills to help even them out

I have pretty severe PCOS (hormonal) and I do take metformin to help with ovulation and I had to take clomid to conceive my first. However, with a lower carb diet I am losing weight and getting the symptoms under control. My doctor thinks if I continue to lose weight and get my hormones leveled I won't have any trouble ttc number 2.

It shouldn't limit how long you can have kids as long as you take care of yourself.

I'm in the same boat as you, currently having testosterone blood test repeated as it was slightly elevated, and I'm also waiting for an appointment letter to come through for an ultrasound. I'm also a bit worried but trying to not get too stressed out about it til I know one way or another. My cycles are regular and I'm charting and using opks and all shows I am ovulating so hopefully will be ok.

I have PCO which is the none hormonal one. Even with that it took 2 years to fall pregnant with my first.
PCOS is a little more challenging to fall pregnant with because of the hormones are out of balance so ovulation tests are useless. Charting should help though. Stress won't help so if can try and keep things fun. Also get some conceive plus lube, I highly recommend it.
