:hi: girls

so im not there yet but i was just reading up on the ivf procedure and it says that egg transfer can be more difficult with a retroverted uterus and it can cause an unsuccessful cycle

is this true??

anyone out there had a successful ivf pregnancy from a tilted uterus??

im scared now

xx

Really? I hadn't heard that one. My FS knows and mentioned that I had a retroverted uterus, but said nothing about causing IVF to fail. He said he just had to make an extra turn when he did the transfer, no biggy. I'm 4 days past transfer so in my tww now.

so did he not have any problems with the transfer then??

its just what i read, i didnt know how true it was nd it just kinda worried me lol

xx

He did a "practice run" when I was under anesthesia for ER so he was familiar with the one extra turn he had to make with the catheter. So he did not have any problems with the actual embryo transfer. I guess because of the extra turn some less experienced FSs might have trouble placing the embryos in the exact right place. So, make sure your FS is a good one  Other than that a retroverted uterus shouldn't cause any other fertility problems. It runs in my family and my grandmother had 5 kids and all my aunts have at least 2 kids. I'd day don't worry about it :hugs: Maybe ask for the "practice run" from your FS?
