With my Ds when I was pregnant I kept getting... Sleep orgasms! Quite strong ones! I had one with this baby at 5 weeks and I think that caused light pink spotting. Just had another one this morning! And now I'm terrified I'll have more spotting! I can't control it! Will orgasms that cause bleeding be a problem? Thanks ladies xx

I got these towards the end of my pregnancy. Must admit, I didn't mind them at all!!! I'd say unless the blood is bright red I wouldn't worry.

I got them up until about week 8 or 9! I got intense cramping afterwards which scared me. But apparently it's really common due to increased hormones

I started having sex dreams but not sure if I had orgasms at 4 weeks, but we are cutting out sex until week 12. Now last night I'm pretty sure I had a night orgasm, woke up with it, I immediately thought "I hope I don't spot" as I am a total spotting phobic

Personally i read it helps baby stick better.
Me and hubby still bedding (well up until last week im just so sickly) had scan yesterday and lil bean is looking good, strong hb. x

My gyno said sex was fine, but my fertility doctor did say not to have it yet. I don't even think spotting after sex is a big problem to the pregnancy, its more the fact how it would worry me more than anything else. I've also read orgasm takes blood to the uterus and aids pregnancy.

I had a few with my son but I am happy to say only 1 naughty dream wit this pregnancy so far, at 9 weeks.

I don't like how they make me feel and we are abstaining too so yeah...hopefully no more. LOL

I have been getting sleep orgasms a lot and still getting them at 12 wks - this would be the coolest thing (esp as we are not bding due to past recurrent mc) if they were not v painful. I am getting very very sore cramps afterwards, which really spoils the fun. Im just hoping they continue but that they stop being sore! I was spotting a lot from 5-10 wks but that seems to have stopped now. If you are worried about the spotting do get checked out. I was able to get early scan at EPU (in UK), which was reassuring - but I havent got up the nerve as ask dr or midwife about the painful sleep orgasms!

Haha had a good giggle reading that I'm not alone! They do get very strong like almost violent! Lol they wake me up and I'd be mid orgasm! Haha I darent ask my doc either, xx

Early on, I experienced cramping and bleeding after orgasm. My midwife prescribed chastity until the first scan. It turned out to be due to a poly on my cervix and was not from the uterus.

We got the go ahead to resume having sex, but I haven't masturbated to orgasm since the bleeding. I am a little nervous since I'm not out of the 13 week range yet.

Last night I had my first orgasm dream since I stopped masturbating. I experienced a little cramping, but nothing too bad and no bleeding. Hurray!

My understanding is that orgasm can't cause a miscarriage. But it can prompt bleeding from an irritated cervix.
