Has anybody frozen embryo? What is the procedure for freezing? Embryo live for how much time?

I don't know how the lab does it but they just freeze what they don't transfer. My son is from a frozen embryo transfer.

They can be frozen for many many years. The embryologist does this. My son was a frozen embryo we transferred 10 months later.

Depending on the quality of the embryos they will freeze them and then later transfer them to you. The process used now in most clinics has high chances of the embryos making the thaw. They can stay frozen for many years as someone already stated. Frozen embryo transfers are actually more successful in many women. Maybe it has something to do with the woman's body not being full of all sorts of medicines. My pregnancy is the result of a frozen transfer. If I have to do IVF again I will opt for a frozen transfer automatically over a fresh transfer. Best of luck to you.
