Just wondering, if you have this... when/how were you diagnosed? What were your symptoms? And what is your treatment. I want to bring this up to my doctor next week because I have some concerns that this may be my problem... any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Helo trying4angel1, just wondering the reason for u to suspect tat u have endometriosis.

Well.. TMI Warning here... Very Heavy AF, Very Strong and painful cramping (which sometimes will keep me up in pain all night), very clotty blood, and 14+ months of not conceiving. I dont know if this could be a possibility just looking for some suggestions on if it could be. This also all started in my early 20's ( I am now 24) and as a teenager i had lighter, not painful AF's.

Also, and this could do with anything but cycles since August when i have been keeping track have rotated perfectly between 29 and 26. August-29 September-26 October- 29 and so on..

Its worth bringing it up to your doctor and getting a scan sorted just to be safe. I have it and I have heavy, painful periods, agonising pain after/during sex or exercise. I had to gave a laproscopy for it to be diagnosed as it wasnt showing on scan. It was only small patches so they left it and said the only way to control it was the birth control pill, which obv isnt ideal, so im on painkillers everyday. I also have fibroid tumours on my womb causing it to tilt backwards, so this also contributes to the pain.
Go to the docs and suggest it hun, better safe than sorry, good luck.

hmm i now you kinda got me curious but my periods are regular but from af day 1-4 im oober heavy and in alot of pain i go through a super tampon in about 2-4 hours and i get alot of pain during sex if im in certain positions, n every woman on my moms side has had to have there uteris out before age 30 because of endometriosis cause they began bleeding 2-3 weeks out of every month and had agonizing pain.

Well as soon as I went to the doctors they sent me to see a gyno, as I have a really bloated stomach too. Id been in hospital previously cos I was in a lot of pain. Stayed overnight and had a scan the next day where they found a cyst on my ovary but nothing more. If the endo is severe it will show on an ultrasound so maybe you should suggest having one? If the pain continues and they dont see anything on a scan then they may send you for a laproscopy. Xx

Thanks for all the info! It seems to me that MAYBE i am just a worrier and there is nothing wrong? I don't have any other pain other than during AF .. so who knows.. but like you said, I think it's worth bringing up because we have been TTC for long enough (NTNP & TTC combined now over 13 months!) and i think that at least i would like to know! If it's something that can be easily fixed I will be kicking myself for waiting this long to get it checked out.. but who knows!

So emma, did the doc say you would have any difficulty conceiving because you have that? what does it usually mean for conception?

Damn.. i just want to have a fun drunk night and wake up preggo.... that's what seems to happen on that 16 & pregnant show.. so why not me!??! haha

for me i didnt know i had it!! i once got pain while having sex with hubby to the point where we called the ambulance & i went to hospital where they thought i was having an ectopic pregnancy- they found nothing & sent me home as the pain had stopped.

I went to my friends gyno cos after that my periods were painful & getting more irregular (though i never did really keep track of them counting days wise). Dr did scan & felt around my tummy- he said i had a cyst on my ovary & that the pain that night could have been one that burst. I had a lapo (key hole surgery) where he removed the cyst & he said i was "riddled" with endo on the different parts but he got it all. I was to wait a few weeks then TTC- still nothing so we got referred to a fertility specialist.

I am sure my endo had returned as my periods were getting worse again & were coming when went ever they wanted, sometimes 60 days apart, sometimes 43 other times 33- they were never regular unless i was on fertility meds. In the end i got pregnant on clomid. I was told the only way they know if you have endo is to track/ know your symptoms & to then do surgery.

Hope that's helped- i hope its not endo but then again if it isnt then what is it!? hope you find the answers you need :)

The doctor told me it wouldnt be a problem :)
We havent been really really trying, I guess more NTNP for 4 months.
Hope it isnt endo for you though xx

thanks a lot for all of your responses... it so nice to have people to talk to, and to share their experiences, i really appreciate it!!!
