Engagement party gift ideas!, HELP PLEASE!

I am getting engaged on the 17th of april and we are having a hugh party and everyone keeps asking what presents do we want!, but i have no idea
I dont have a clue what people get for engagment partys!??
Help me!
Any & All ideas please share!

P.S. No one will buy me a pink beatle car and i want one

For engagement parties, usually people should buy presents that will be used by both people, like joint presents. A simple way to go about it is just to tell everyone to buy gift certificates for you & him so that you can go out and buy whatever you want. I know in the US you can make a fund for like your wedding or something like that, and then people just go on a website and donate as much money as they want and you can do this for either your wedding or honeymoon -- I'm not sure if you can do this in the UK but my sister did this for her engagement & wedding!

Hehe i would so love that but i think we would be getting divorced be fore we get married he would never allow it plus we just bought a new toaster and kettle

i like the idea of vouchers / money tho hmmmm i dont know
