Episiotomy Issues

Hi there everyone,

I gave birth exactly 2 weeks ago. It was a forceo birth with an episiotomy which is about 5cm. The midwife checked last weekend and said it has healed beautifully from the bottom but the top is a little loose. It's almost like a grazing and it isn't deep. Anyway, they discharged me last Tuesday saying it will heal on its own. I keep checking it everyday after a bath but it is showing no signs of healing and I'm not sure whether it's me but the grazing looks wider. I'm worried what if it affects the healed part? They said the healed part will not be affected at all and the loose bit can't get any worse than it is.

Any advice? How long am I expecting before I see an improvement?

yet it checked should be looking better by now. i had an infection in it x

Thank you babyhopes. They have taken swabs twice and it didn't show up an infection. Apparently it will heal very slowly. I will make a doctor's appt though. I have to say it has been less painful today.

I had a section with my daughter and I felt by day 10 I recovered well enough to walk. However this is taking forever. I can barely move or walk like normal.
