every 2 hours

Imogen has started feeding every 2 hours again and getting very irritable between feeds, not settling to sleep very well and fussing at the breast when she is feeding.
does anyone know any reason why she could be doing this?

Hi hun could it be a growth spurt? You are so lucky to be going even 2 hours between feeds...my LO is 6 weeks and we've never even gone this long. He's on demand, sometimes more than once an hour but usually about every hour unless I can get him to sleep - which usually he'll only do on me or in the sling.

Hope someone can offer some more constructive advice!

Definitely seems like a growth spurt (there's one around 6 weeks)! Hang tight and it will hopefully pass in a few days. The good news is that things seem to get so much easier going forward from here, and you shouldn't see another growth spurt until 3 months!

Hi there,
Sounds like a growth spurt to me, settle down on the sofa/couch for a few days with some good dvd's hydrate well and take care... she'll start stretching her feeds out soon (my growth spurts lasted about 48 hrs or so)....

Definitely sounds like a growth spurt. There's one somewhere between 6-8 weeks and this sounds like typical growth spurt behaviour.

Hang on in there - it will pass. In the meamtime, drink lots, eat well, don't plan on getting much else done and let her feed when she wants and things should settle down.
