We had great renter's history, we still do as far as stability and staying some place a long time..... we just have crappy luck with paying rent. 
1 place- we lived at almost a year but they had bed bugs and we moved out before the court date for eviction- they dismissed BOTH claims but claim they didnt drop the money aspect even though we were there and know they did both. I assume thats an easy explanation and shouldnt cause a huge issue.
the 2nd place after the first we lived in for about 5 months and Dh lost his job, we tried for months to live there but simply couldnt afford it. We moved out a day before court but didnt show up.... bad I know! So we know the Money and Eviction is on there- though the eviction shouldnt because we moved out before court- either way its going to show up.

So here we are living with DHs grandpa and hes moving in Nov so we have to move out. He WILL help us with 1st months rent, Security Deposit, and Last months rent but WONT co-sign.
has anyone rented an apartment with an eviction on their record? What did you have to do to rent again? Pay 1st, last, deposit? get a co-signer? Pray? The place we are looking at is a smaller complex and income based. Wed pay 30% of our income.
ETA: prior to the above places- we always paid rent and never had any issues. We have been renting since 2005.
ETA:-- I just looked it up on public records- the 1st place it shows Eviction BUT dismissed. The 2nd shows Eviction but that we owe $5382. Maybe ill call our landlord and see if we can pay him in payments and get that satisfied eventually? if we can show the new place we are attempting then maybe theyll rent to us...right?
