I hope someone can offer some insight. LO just turned 3 months. He's fighting feeds during the day and his sleep. At night, he'll sleep for 3 hours initially and then he's up every hour and will not settle. I've tried cosleeping, dream feeding, cluster feeding. I'm at my wit's end and getting VERY frustrated.

We went through this with Archie, we did come out the other side but it was tough.

I would give my right foot for 3 hours of continuous sleep, lol.

There is a growth spurt at 12 weeks. It was completely the worst one so far; LO kept crying at feeds, woke up every hour, became really clingy and super fussy. It sounds like your bubba is going through that now ... It does get better in a couple of days (although you do come out of it feeling slightly mental due to lack of sleep!) x

Morning,

I remember only too well my lo having a MASSIVE growth spurt from 3 - 4 months. Coupled with a sleep regression. It lasted around a month. He drinks expressed breast milk and jumped from around 30oz's a day to 40oz's a day. I was starting to get worried about him drinking too much, when he dropped back down to 30oz's a day around 18 weeks. I also remember walking him in the sling for hours everyday as he fought naps completely and him waking loads in the night. For me, this was by far the worst time we've had with him. I know there's a major developmental leap coinciding with all of this.

He's been getting progressively 'easier' since then...

I hope there's some useful stuff here for you - not intending to make you feel worse. :hugs: Just want you to know it won't last forever.

Oh, and a last thought - could he be teething - occasionally some babies will teeth early. Hope it sorts out quickly for you...

x

Thanks :) I'm putting to up to both teething (his gums arered and white) and growth. Poor bubba :( He did sleep better last night so that's a plus :)
