Experiences with Seasonique -- how long does it take to get out of your system?

I took Seasonique birth control pills for several years, when I quit on January 1, 2012. I then had a period in January, March, and June.. and figuring it up, would have ovulated in September to get pregnant.. my doctor said that I may have PCOS when we talked about my lack of cycles, but part of me secretly hopes it's just those pills! I mean thinking about it now, it was still on that rolling 3 month schedule like it was on the pills.. Have any of you had any experience with them? How long did it take for your periods to return to normal after stopping it? I'm hoping that since it's been a year and a half plus now, and a pregnancy later, things will be more regular again!! I was always fairly regular before I started birth control pills, but I was also younger and weighed less then.. so many variables! Just curious here! Thank you!
