Expired preg test...anyone used?

Hi, I am 3 days late for af, and ttc #2. Got pg in first mth of ttc #1 but this time it's been 12 months & nothing. And we've been 'trying very hard'!!!

I tested today and got 'Not Pregnant' on an old digital test. I've Just gone to throw packaging when I noticed it expired in aug 2013!!! I didn't even think about an expiry date...but I was given it 2 years ago off a friend!! Has anyone had any experience like this? Obviously I'll go and buy another if no af in couple of days.

I had 2 year expired ovulation tests. One worked and gave me a positive (I knew it should be pos from other tests) and the other ones didnt!
