expressed milk - how long can it stay out of fridge??

hi ladies
i am feeding formula/breast milk but when i go out i just use formula as im not sure how long i can carry round breast milk for in my bag any ideas??

Breastmilk can be at room temp for 6-8hrs...just smell it to make sure it still smells okay before giving it to the baby.

I would keep it in a small cooler / or insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. If its kept cool - then 6-8 hours. But if not, than I wouldn't go more than 3-4 hours max.

At the hospital I was told 4-6 hours was alright.
