Extreme hair loss and 2 periods per month.

I'm almost 5 months post natal and the past 2 months at least I've been having really bad hairloss, as in heaps of hair comes out if I run my hands through it, it has become so thin. Also my cycle has been coming every 2 weeks for at least the past two months. I'm going to get docs appt tmo but was just wondering if anything similar has happened to anyone here??? My poor hair

Hi there, my LO is similar age to yours and I have the exact same problem with my hair it just comes out in handfuls when I run my fingers through it, and it is even worse when it is wet. I have noticed though that I have a line of hair at the front where it is re-growing. I did ask my doctor about this before as I was concerned and he said that it should stop after 6 months so I'm just hoping it will! The other reason it could be falling out is due to and iron deficiancy. With your cycle, I just posted something on here as I was concerned about mine, for the first few months it started on the same date and now seems to be coming sooner and sooner. Let me know what happens at the docs, I was contemplating doing the same. Take care.

Thanks for response My hair is that bad I look like I am receding like a man! hate it! Gona ring docs now, I'm guessing they're gonna do a blood test before anything else.

Hi yes I know what you mean, mine looks like it's receding too especially when I brush it back from my forehead. Have you noticed any of your hair growing back in like small tufts?

My hairdresser warned me about this when I was pregnant. Apparently when you're pregnant your hair builds up and you don't lose any..it gets really thick. Then, when you have the baby, all that built up hair falls out.
