fading lines?

is it normal for lines to fade after an hour or so, still visible but fade.

I got a positive HPT earlier. and gone to put it in the bin as i left it on the side.
It was a very faint line but still visible, still there. but the line has considerably faded, you can still see it and can tell its there.
but is it normal for it to fade? xx

I think this one might be dependent on the test your using. Hard to say, might be a good idea to try another test and see what happens. Or ask on the expecting boards
