Hi!
I've heard fainting is normal and my blood pressure has been too low, but dunno what to do.. I get so frightened at work when there's loads of people around me and everything goes white :( has anyone else suffered with this??

Also, sounds stupid again.. but Im around 12 weeks and I'm not showing at all! If anything I've lost weight! :/

xxx

Hey don't worry hun, its normal. I've had that too even before I was pregnant. If you can try and sit down as soon as you feel your symptoms coming.... (mine are hot and sweaty, feeling sicky and then the whiteness), and get you head between your legs. Cold water can help too. If your BP is low remember to get up slowly and not rush around as that can make you feel worse.
:hugs: hope that helps a bit.

I typically have low blood pressure as well. I unfortunately had a fainting spell at 11w+2 - where I got too hot and couldn't regulate my heat back down. I remember things fading out, but I don't remember going down. When I came to, I was thankful that the people around me were great. Some lady had put her big purse under my head. My poor DH came from the bar (where he was getting me water to help with the issue) and he and a security guard escorted me back to the bar, to drink water and regain my bearings. I was totally embarrassed, but thankful for the people around me and the security guard who helped by opening the back doors to let fresh air in.

Not showing is normal. I'm 12 weeks and not showing at all either. It's only really small changes that I can notice. It's still early. I asked my Dr. about weight gain/loss at my 10 wk apt and he said a lot of people lose weight in the 1st Trimester.

I have had this happen to me but it was pregnancy related, basically everytime i went on a tram and had to stand up because it was so busy i was go all faint headed and hot and felt like i was about to faint.

Maybe i had low blood pressure but i don't know- it wasn't anxiety related it was just standing up on a hot crowded tram made me ill, anyway the only thing that helped me was to sit down even if it meant getting off at another stop- once i didn't make it and didn't realise what happened til i looked up and saw the ticket collector looking over me all concerned - i was so embarassed

Basically you have to change the situation so you feel more comfortable- so if you need to sit down that's what you must do!

ahhh thanks so much ladies!! :) I don't have a seat at work and on my feet for around 4 hours :( not really sure what to do about that lol xxx:hugs: thanks again xxx

How about making sure you always carry a bottle of water with you - or a sugery snack?

I think you'll need to try some things out in the hope something will help you feel better in this situation!

Definitely try this as well!

I am known in my professional community for speaking on topics, but I'm not out completely with my pregnancy (only those super close to me know). Earlier this week, I had to speak in front of ~30 people, and just before I was supposed to start, the light-headedness that I feel before fainting decided to make an appearance. I was able to excuse myself to the restroom and get some water in me to get past the light-headedness (and made it through my 1.5 hour presentation).

While it's nerve-wracking, you'll find what works for you to avoid getting to fainting and how to manage it in due time.
