I had a really awful scare yesterday, had to go to A and E with bleeding. Blood was brown with no pain but pain did develop. They did a scan and baby was fine and an internal, cervix was normal with very little blood left. Obviously it was a shock but heartbeat was good and baby moved when registrar pushed the ultrasound machine into my stomach.

So my stepmum tells me today to take it easy because it could still go wrong as she had a miscarriage at 14 and 16 weeks. Now I'm really sad and terrified. Why tell me that? And I also found out, 30% miscarry after a threatened miscarriage.

I already had first tri ruined by a nurse freaking me out. Looks like my 2nd tri is ruined before I start.

Aw hun, try not to let others steal your joy! We can't be worrying about risks all the time or we'd be nervous wrecks! Just think of how huge the odds are of everything being fine. That's what I have to do. :hugs:

Sorry you had a bad scare but I'm glad you and the baby are doing well.

Hunni there's always someone out there with a bad story to share. Take it easy and be happy in the knowledge that bubs is fine :)

Maybe a good story will help ....

My friend had a theatened m/c at 9wks and is now 32wks with a very healthy baby!!!!!!

Don't let bad stories get to you - she was probably trying to help, but it came over a bit wrong.

Hope all gets better - rest and make them do all the work for you for the next few days!!!
