I went to Primark this morning with my MIL and it was fantastic - living in Spain, UK shops are a total novelty & Primark is 50mins drive away so the last time I went was at the beginning of March.

I bought 2 nighties for hospital, slippers, lots of 'big pants' 3 lovely pj vest top & bottom sets for slouching about, new toiletries bag, 2 tracksuits (in large sizes for after birth- 1 black, one brown) lots of matching vest tops & long sleeve tops, jeans, casual floaty tops, baby bibs, booties, a 'blankie' sleepsuits etc all for €105!!!!! MIL also treated me and LO to some other outfits so we came back laden with bags!

I had been worrying that I would have absolutely nothing to wear once LO arrives as I was a size 8 pre-pregnancy and Im guessing that if I didnt have bump Id be a 14, so I wanted a couple of tracksuits & casual outfits for that in-between stage while I lose the weight. The jeans were €3! So all hospital stuff & after-the-birth clothes sorted!!!!

OH is away at a wedding in the UK this weekend so it was a great way to spend a morning and we then went for a lovely lunch afterwards.

Pointless thread but I just had to share! :flower:

I love primark, I got some of those pjs (vest top and bottoms) and they are so comfy, I'm planning to head over there soon to get some more bits. Also plan to get some more baby gros and sleep suits from there, I've already bought some cute outfits for babs from there...its so cheap. Oh and I need a dressing gown.

Primark is the best! I've got the odd bits and pieces for LO (although babywear doesn't seem to be that great) but a lot of stuff for myself to wear through pregnancy. Thank goodness for smock tops being in fashion this season! :happydance:

Oooo awesome! really need to get myself there soon :) x

It really was ace - especially as its the end of the summer, so lots of things were reduced - got some lovely tops reduced from €13, €10 and €16 down to €3 or €5! I went for most things in size 14 or 16 and the clothes are either stretchy or floaty so will do me now & for after the birth. They had quite a few dressing gowns for about €10 in all different colours including a lovely red one with white snow flakes for Christmas time!

Have to say that the baby section wasnt very good - plenty of nice sleep suits but that was about it. All the outfits seemed to be for older babies rather than 0-9 months. Saying that, last time I went in March there were loads of gorgeous baby things so maybe its because its the end of the summer season and they will get more winter things in soon.

In another shop I got some leather flip flops reduced from €19 to €3! They are great as I cant get any of my proper shoes on at the moment due to my swollen feet!

I love a bargain and you cant beat Primark for lots of bargains!!!! :)

Love it. There is a Primark not far from Almeria in Spain - if you are close to there, PM me and I will find out where it is from my Mum - she says that it is better than Primark at Lakeside and is cheaper xx

Most of my hospital bag stuff came from Primark - PJ's, knickers, towels, slippers & dressing gown. Pity our nearest Primark is 2 hours drive away so when I do get chance to go I always spend loads!

Mrs Nov Baby - Thanks a lot but Im on the Costa del Sol so the Algeciras Primark is 50mins away. I think that Almeria is about 4 or 5 hours drive away from here so the one I went to is definately closer :)
