Father's Day!

Hi Ladies, Just wondering what sort of plans everyone has made for that speacial man in their lives.. Father's Day is this Sunday in US. I feel like I really need to make sure my Hubby feels appreciated for all that he's done and put up with for the past 8 months! I'm moody as is.. pregnant..crazy lady! I let him pick out some new lawn equipment that he needed, but really wanted to think of something sweet and sentimental for Sunday if I could. I know I don't let him know enough how much I love and appreciate him and how excited I am about us being parents together.

what plans do ya'll have so far?

I got my hubby a onesie of his favorite sports team with our last name on the back and the number 13 since that's the year baby will be born. I also made a card, personalized from our baby. I am not considering this the "official" first fathers day, as baby isnt here yet and it will be more special next year, but I had to do something

The slightly childish part of me is still a little miffed that he didn't get me even a card for mothers day, however I have gotten him a card. Presents to commence next year for the official first fathers day!

He isnt technically a father yet however i'm not a mother either and he bought me a beautiful necklace and earrings for mothers day. He said he doesnt really want to celebrate fathers day but regardless i'm getting him a pair of shoes that hes been really wanting and a card.(but unfortunately it'll be late as my new debit card hasnt gotten here yet and i have to order the shoes ).despite the baby not being born yet he still finds ways to prove what a wonderful dad he is and i think he deserves something special for putting up with me if nothing else

With the way things are looking here I might end up giving him a daughter. Can't think of anything better than that! But I'm hoping she'll come sooner than that. Would still cover him for Father's Day I'd say.

The first occasion after dd1 was born I got a carved figure of a mum, dad and baby. It's the same range he got me one of a couple for valentines the year he proposed (so I didn't suspect the ring later on).

DD2 was due yesterday so I still don't know if this will be her first father's day or not I had a sweep today so I hope she makes it in time. I've bought two figures from the same range this time. One of a dad holding a baby and then a little girl kneeling down, which works perfectly to be dd1 next to him, looking at the baby. I like how they show the progression of our family.

I got a card from Funky Pigeon with both girls' names on.

He also has a card and large bar of Cadbury's from the dogs

I had my daughter last Thursday, she arrived 4 days early! Me, baby Amelia and hubby are going shopping for a fathers day present and for some nice lunch
