Fed up of people telling

Me how I should be feeling .....

I've dropped down to three shifts at work because I am tired all the time and I mean constantly. If I wash the dishes and hoover the lounge i'm done for the day I have no energy to do anything else. My bosses have no problem with it at all and most of my colleagues can understand the reasons why. (I'm a waitress)

However there are two people and both women who have commented that I should be feeling better having dropped down shifts and one even turned round and said I shoudln't be tired at this stage in my pregnancy. ERR hello My midwives are happy with me the being tired is perfectly normal esp for someone with an underactive thyroid.

I'm going off at 29 weeks and the number of people who have said that's far to early :dohh: I know I will struggle financially till baby is here and maybe after but not so bad but I made the decision for health reasons and trying to be sensible as well its so hard when people are making me feel bad about it.

surely it's up to me?? and only I know how I am feeling right??

And now after that rant I have to go into work  I went out for lunch with a couple of friends today and would really rather just go to sleep

Im exactly the same, I have my toddler mon-fri then worked 7-4 on sats and sundays, dropping done to one shift had them all complaining!

Don't listen to them, I too am taking my hols and MA asap!!!

I feel exactly the same here hon :(

Just doing the odd household chore knocks me out for hours and my toilet basin has become my best friend :sad1: Everyone keeps telling me I look pale/wan/pasty and are shocked am pregnant cause I have lost weight with all the :sick:ness and I am fed up of people telling me I should feel better now am never half way to having my baby :saywhat: and as for blooming I have lank hair, nasty skin and just plain feel rough. I told DH last night that if this was my 1st pregnancy I would be put off having anymore children...as it goes its my 2nd and last.....I want baby Charlie so much it hurts but I will be buggered if am putting myself through this again :sad2:

ps I just returned to work last monday after two weeks off sick with a throat, bladder infection and thrush on my toungue I could hardly speak :( I had to call in sick again today havent even been back two weeks yet as I now have a viral infection.....am not miss popular at work right now!

Some people were just born to judge. You seriously just can't let them get to you. You're lucky to have your bosses be supportive adt my job they couldn't wait to get rid of me. After having morning sickness until around week 19 (off for a total of 4 weeks with all of that) then I had a UTI that made me be on rest (a week off) and a stomach bug sometime after that (another week off) they were sick of me! I put my heart and soul into that job but in the end it was just too much. I was a floor manager at a upity retail shop but I just couldn't be on my feet the same. I couldn't get up on the stool to put the clothes away like I used to. In other words I was now useless to them and they let me know it.

I had to take off at 29 weeks for my sanity more than anything. The looks the girls would give me at work, the whispered behind my back talking about how lazy I was started to get to me. To make matter worse there was a girl already pregnant who had it great! So naturally they compared us. Only every pregnancy is different and no one would listen to me even with every doctors note I had.

So now I'm off officially!! YAY!! I can't tell you just how stressfree I am now. So I say do you what you think is best for YOU and don't let anyone else get to you.

I too have an under active thyroid have done since i was 10 years old, now 25 years old and i am soooooooooo tired all the time. I was waiting for that blooming stage but i dont think i am going to get it :-( x

Ugh I know what you mean too!
I mentioned to one of my colleagues that new risk assessments needed to be done and she said 'why, cause you're going to do something stupid?' - how idiotic is that!
She also says 'You're pregnant -not ill' all the time which drives me mad as I know that and I went PT so I can be at my best at work AND I still work more hours than she does! Argh she's so annoying!

I agree with comment above some people are born to judge! Those girls should mind there dam business! What's it to them if your feeling tired your working and your pregnant your gonna get tired sometimes! Friggin people always in some one elses business!

Hon I hate that olde saying `your pregnant not ill!` like we dont know that one....some people honestly....I still havent had my risk assessment and dont hold out much hope I ever will :( still my boss thinks am some sort of donkey and still keeps expecting me to fetch and carry as norm I feel some sort of lazy cow for refusing saying am pregnant and shouldnt be lifting and carrying....am I the only one whos sees sense in this whilst all my colleagues bitch about my not being able to do my current job until 38wks cause of the risk of my work surrounding....hence my urgency for the risk assesssment :dohh: maybe I should just go to the union!

Ignore them. Silly people. How on earth can they be the ones to judge as to how your daily activity should be. I've had a few comments like that aswell. To be honest just cooking and washing the dishes makes me feel as if I've climbed a mountain! Pregnancy is easy for some, hard for others and people are so silly to not realise that. It reminds me of a co-worker in my old work place, she was heavily pregnant at the time so obviously needed to take breaks. She would sit down every so often and the others would comment on that. People like that annoy me!

I agree, I'm so tired and also seem to be coming down with every cold or bug going! I eat healthily and take my vitamins, but still no joy. Some people at work have alot to say about me having time off sick etc - but do you know what I don't care.

I am a team manager of 15 people and I today told my boss I've had enough and cannot cope with the tight time limits they have on targets etc I asked to step down, she wasnt happy with this - but for good reasons. She told me she wasnt going to allow that as she wasnt prepared to stand back and allow me to take a £6,000 pay cut p/a. So she has agreed I can take my outstanding 2010 holiday in 4 weeks time, then 2011's 25 days hol then start Mat leave on 6th Feb.

So my last day in work will be 22nd Dec and I will be 24 weeks.

Yep I hear that. I was diagnosed at 21 and i'm 38 now sooooooo hard being this tired. I get told I'm glowing ... yeah but that does not equate to being awake :haha:

I had a busy night but got through it.

thank you all for making me feel normal girls knew I could count on you all :hugs:

I'm so sorry they are being so mean  Every pregnancy is different and if you feel awful you should do what you can and rest when you can't. If they don't like it they can stuff it! It's your health and your baby :hugs:

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I also have an underactive thyroid. I used to alternate shifts every week of 8-5 or 9-6. Asked my boss if i can do 8-5 every day so I can get longer sleep and this seems to of infuriated everybody! Especially another pregnant woman! She can cope so why cant I. However she's one of these that becomes a pregnancy expert just because she is so.
Ugh. Some people

She can't be or she'd know all pregnancys are different ask her when she passed her midwife exams.

Dosnt matter if your sitting there doing nothing someone will always have something to say when your pregnant. Its seems to be the law.

Oh yeah Ladies I agree the best yet.....I`m off work ill cause I`m pregnant not that I might be off sick anyway even if I wasnt pregnant considering I have had every infection going in the last 3-4wks I think I am doing pretty well considering I went back to work for nearly 2wks in the middle :trouble: My boss is not impressed am not going to be back in work until Monday at the earliest.....NEWS FLASH FOR MY BOSS....I`M NOT HAPPY TO BE ILL AGAIN SO DEAL IT WITH :gun:
