Hi all

My little girl will rarely settle in her moses basket and ends up co sleeping but there is so little room as it only a double and my hubbie is not a small man i feel worn out from feeding every hour then not being able to get comfy to get to sleep in between.

Tried feeding my daughter whilst lying down but she always brings it back up so i have to sit up with her. Wish she could get comfy for few hours at a time so we could both get some rest!

If she is throwing up a lot of her feed when lay down and unsettled when lay on her back Id suggest you see your GP about her possibly having reflux....it may not be but its worth checking out :)

yes it's tiring!! we've all been there and i can tell you from doing it that it gets easier. sleep deprivation is part of being a new mama. but it is temporary! take comfort in knowing it will pass. :hugs: you're doing a great job!
as far as her spitting up goes when she is laying down, in the newborn the valve (sphincter) that separates the esophagus and stomach is immature and does not keep all of the stomach's contents in place, therefor spit up is somewhat of a guarantee in such a young babe if she is laying down and doesn't get to sit up and let gravity help keep that milk down. after she eats and when you are in bed, perhaps you could try laying her on your chest on her tummy with you mostly laying down? so you can fall asleep and she is slightly more upright ? that's what worked pretty well for us.
