I have started co sleeping for the past few nights from 3amish, lo is very happy to be on the boob and sleep that way which i don't mind but Im really having trouble trying to feed lying down though. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance x

Just from personal experience maybe try playing around with your pillows and adding an extra one - I find my LO seems to latch better (as boob must then be right height!). Also I'm conscious to try and get his body quite close to mine and make sure his head is lined up with body. Does you LO sort of search for the nipple and try and latch himself on? Keep persevering, you just need to find the right position for both of you :)

I think i might to have a try during the day instead of waiting till 3 am,will try playing around with pillows,he will search for the nipple and can latch on it just feels like my boobs aren't big enough( at an E cup im sure they are). My oh has taking to sleeping downstairs when lo comes into bed for safety as hes only 12 weeks so we have lots of room in bed! I managed fine with my daughter albeit a while ago!

my OH wasn't keep on him bein in our bed, as he's been in our bed every nght because he wouldnt settle in his moses basket, and i just gave in, my LO is 9 weeks old, and he feeds great lying down, have you seen the snugle nests that they sell so baby is safe in your bed? i bought one, but i'd hate for my OH not to be in bed with us, he feels distant enough with out sleepin downstairs, we'd never see eachother!

you sound like me... I've also given up on getting LO back into her crib after the 3am feed.

It took me awhile to get into a good position to make it work...I have DD boobs. I place her head in the nook of my arm/elbow and have her on her side. Then I can use my arm/elbow to push her head in closer to me. It took awhile to get the latch right, but after you get the hang of it, it gets easier.
