So this morning my lo decided to do a second poo and it went up his back and I thought I'd just wash him down rather than bathing him properly as we had to leave as I had a dentist appointment and needed to drop him at my aunts. Anyway I dont know how it happened but he pretty much somersaulted out of my hands in the bath, it happened so fast I couldnt tell if he hit his head or anything. I quickly picked him up and cuddled him and he didnt even cry, infact he gave me a smile. I checked him all over no marks, checked his head for bumps and marks but nothing, check again this afternoon but nothing. Infact he's been in a particularly good mood today, loved it round my Aunts house and was smiing and laughing the whole time.

I feel so guilty though, he's obviously alot more agile than I thought. I can't even describe how I felt when it happened, but I thought my heart was going to burst out of my chest.

Thank god he is ok. He's getting bigger and stronger all the time, definitely going to be extra careful from now on.

Dont beat yourself up about it, accidents happen unfortunately. Glad your LO is ok xxx

Don't worry about it, sounds like LO enjoyed it hehe :)

Sounds like he's completely fine, don't beat yourself up! I only lost my grip of LO in the bath before she could sit up on her own and she fell over, sucked up a mouth full of water, and she looked absolutely terrified as she couldn't breath and I watched frozen in horror as she caughed the water up and screamed the house down. Needless to say, the bath ended there!

It happens. They're slippery little things in the bath. My lo managed to catapult herself out of her baby bath once! Don't be too hard on yourself. :hugs:

Awww that's okay! Don't feel bad :hugs: your LO is fine. Things like this will happen, especially as they get older. You've just got to learn from your 'mistakes'

Thanks ladies. Its times like this when I need my mum...you know when you have a question or need reassurance, you need someone to turn to.

I spose it was particularly scary because it was the first time anything like this had happened...which is surprisingly because I'm very clumsy.

I guess they are alot more robust than we think. :)

Babies are stronger than we think. Don't beat yourself up :)
