hi
I'm 24 weeks but I look and feel like 8 months! My skin is stretched to the max and hurts, feels like it's going to burst. I'm fairly petite with a big bump so carrying it around with a small frame is agony I can't believe I've got 4 more months to go.
I know every pregnancy is different but didn't have anything like this with my first, and he was big! Is this normal?
sorry for the moan :(

I'm thinking of getting one of those stretchy support bands, anyone tried the cantaloop ones from boots? I've heard the carriwell ones don't stretch big enough as you grow.

if you that big talk with a doctor cause a friend of mine was in a similar situation, she had to much fluid and ended up delivering 7 weeks early good luck

I am exactly the same as you .. i am HUGE !! and this is my 2nd i am due 27th Jan. My midwife just tells me it is fluid and my body will start and adjust :S all i can say is i hope it hurrys up !!! i feel like a baby Rhino im so big !!

I'm the same - I find at the end of the day my skin hurts so much and feels like it's going to tear apart. I've not got any extra fluid everything is normal.

Don't forget you've got bloating, water retention and constipation added in to that too so you will feel stretched x

Me too! Feel like I am actually going to pop!! I have a band (from mothercare) and it does help, but I found that I still get bloated and tight across the top of bump, so the belt made it feel a bit worse towards the end of the day.

Hopefully, it settles down soon and my body does get used to it

thanks all, I just don't ever remember feeling like this with my first. Plus this one seems FAR more active than my first that the kicks actually hurt.

I read the thread about missed twins and thought, wouldn't that be funny! Twins run in my family, but then I've had 4 scans and all just showed one lol

A friend of mine had 3 scans all showed one baby, her doctor kept saying he could hear a 2nd heart beat but the hospital were saying no it could be an echo only one baby... she went in to deliver = twins .. so i guess it CAN happen !!

Omg!! eep :)
When was her 3rd scan done? I've had my 20 week scan and there was one, I would have thought by that stage you'd be sure??

It's gotta be pretty rare though, right? In my scans I've seen pebbles roll, kick, turn around .... and you'd have thought that if there was more than one, they would see that! Poor lady - bit like Erica on Friends!!!!! :haha:

think i need to get a belly band too, as my tummy feels like its going to explode sometimes, its uncomfortable

Hello you are not alone. My tummy is huge  I have tried to hide it because of all the comments i keep getting down at the school. It's hard though because i cant put my coat on as i over heat :dohh:

Last week on holiday a lady asked me how long i had left. When i said January she looked me up and down and said " oh dear " I went bright red. I couldn't enjoy myself on the beach as i thought she had probably gone back to her family and said all sorts

I am so sore and feel like I'm ready to give birth  I keep thinking another 20 weeks not a chance i wont be able to move

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:
