Feeling bubs from outside...

I've been feeling my little girl from quite early on (about 15 weeks) but she is kicking really strong now and you can see her move from the outside but hubby still can't feel her from the outside. Now i know that shes the wrong way round (her feet are really tucked down low) and i have a anterior placenta so is that why he can't feel her, coz all her hard movements are really low? Or is it just too soon for him to be able to feel her.

i started feelin my lo from the outside at around 18 weeks x

It's probably just the way everything is positioned in there (baby and placenta)...I've been feeling(and seeing) my ladybug from the outside for a while now. Kicks are usually stronger than punches so it may be hard to feel her...especially with an anterior placenta. xx

My little one could be felt from the outside at 17 weeks, but my friend said she couldn't feel her baby from the outside till well into the sixth month range because of the placenta. I guess it just varies from woman to woman.

The doctor wasn't concerned about my friend, because her check-ups were all good and so were her ultrasounds. If you think there may be a problem maybe talk to your midwife or doctor and they will be able to give you some reassurance/advice.

Good Luck and I'm sure everything will be fine!

I'm not worrying too much coz everything was fine on her anatomy scan and i feel her all move all the time, i just want hubby to be able to feel her!

I remember that feeling...I just wanted to share my experience too. My LO's kicks have become so strong that I can see her kicks through my clothes...it's hilarious sometimes. Peyton did a complete roll around this morning, it was the weirdest thing I have ever felt. I had been sleeping on my back and switched to my left side...then she did this roll and went back to sleep LOL.

Lol aww bless her. Its only the past week that i've been able to see her move from the outside and hubby saw her move today just waiting for her to kick high enough and hard enough for him to be able to feel his daughter!

im just starting to feel like little tiny movements kinda feelings now & again, as i have an anterior placenta, OH said he could feel him the other night, twice now he has but i cant?..sighs

i started feeling my LO wriggling at 14 and a half weeks but only just saw felt them from the outside at the weekend just gone. (so 19+3 i think i was) it varys for everyone, i thought it'd be sooner coz i started feeling movements quite early. xx

I've been able to see bubs move from the outside for a week or so now - but on my anomaly scan sheet it says I have an anterior placenta.

DH and DS have also felt it from the outside and some of the kicks are pretty high, round about my belly button so not sure if I actually do have an anterior placenta as didn't think you could feel them that hard if you did.

Not complaining though as DS thinks its fab to feel the kicks and jiggles my belly just to get the baby to move! :haha:

I was feeling my baby from 16+2 and I knew it would be a while before my husband could feel it. However, I clearly remember from about 20 weeks being sure that I could feel the kicks from the outside and got soooooo frustrated and angry (!!!) with my husband because he couldn't feel anything. I was even seeing seeing my belly move with the kicks by about 21 weeks and he still claimed not to feel anything. I was in the bath one night, maybe at about 23 weeks and the baby was dancing away. I shouted my husband into the bathroom and said he must be able to SEE the movement if not feel it. That was it! He had a feel and could feel every wriggle and kick he made for the next half hour or so! I will never forget his face that first time, he was really blown away by it! And from then on he has been able to feel him whenever he has been moving. So, fear not, it will probably happen in the next week or so, sometimes it's as much about timing as anything else! For now, enjoy it being your little secret because I wake up sometimes in the night and my husband is laying with his hand on my tummy feeling the baby when I haven't even been aware of his movements! I feel like he is "cashing in"!!!

Hi hun

I am 24 weeks and have an anterior placenta, my husband has only just started feeling baby on the outside from about a week ago but it definately isn't every kick. Sometimes she kicks when his hand is on there and he doesnt feel it at all, and then if she does a strong one then he feels it.

I think its because of the placenta! I am still not feeling her as much as most but I am getting at least a bit of activity every day, mostly at night.

I haven't seen my tummy move yet either! Don't worry one day baby will do a particularly strong kick and he will feel it!

xx

My LO kicks quite hard now, I can see my tummy move bvut whenever OH puts his hand on my stomach it stops!

My child is totally disobediant! haha
