Hi Everyone!

Been battling with AF since i came off depo! initially i couldnt stop, now its non existent!

Anyway ive been to see my GP about this and the fact im TTC#1, she asked me if i had been trying over a year and i said Yes! :( even though its only been a year since i came off depo - only been ttc for a few months but not having AF means surely its bee pointless?.

since i said yes, ive had blood tests, booked in for an ultrasound and then and only then will they refer me to gyni - i feel really guilty when i havent even been trying that long but then i feel happy that because they think i have, there doing something to help me instead of sending me on my way!

just wondering if anyones done the same, or anyone knows what steps gyni will have to try and regulate AF as well as helping me Ov

I'm assuming your insurance prevents you from seeing an OB as soon as you want, and I don't know how your system works in England, but I don't think you should feel guilty at all. Your bleeding is abnormal and the GP is not going to be as versed in handling patients TTC as an OBGYN. Esp if you're feeling anxious I don't think there's anything wrong with talking to an OBGYN if it will put your mind at ease. If you had said no they would have told you to just wait, and that can be extremely emotionally taxing. Good luck!

Don't feel guilty! I'm just gutted I told my gp I was coming off the pill in July or Id be saying the same thing!! Good luck xx
