I am nearly 39 weeks so not expecting to be running marathons or anything but espically the last few weeks I feel so unfit !

I remember being waddly and tired with DS but I just got up of the couch to get a drink and my legs felt so heavy. Getting my toddler dressed, into the car etc knackers me !

I am trying to remember if I felt like this last time or not. I am just worried I wouldnt cope as well with
Labour if I am totally unfit ....

Anyone else feel like a couch potatoe !

Im with you there. i used to work out a couple of times a week and would walk everywhere, now I do virtually nothing apart from a waddle to the corner shop.
My bodys not used to it and I cant wait to start using my muscles again!

feel your misery.. I used to run, not a huge amount as my body shape is more built for comfort and not for speed, but I now feel envious of runners going past me.

On my last day of work I waddled to the bus stop, up a small hill I used to run up and I could barely do it without feeling breathless and dizzy... so depressing, actually just getting the bus on the way to work on the route I used to run is depressing...

Can't wait to start up again... couch to 5km starts (again!) 1st Dec....

I feel desperately unfit :( but we have had a scorching summer (I'm living in a hotter climate than I'm used to), and we have just moved house to a place which has 85 steps from the road to the front door. Team that with having to hold one child's hand and carry the other, plus bags; it's a mission just to leave the house. I spend my days knackered and unable to do much. I can't bend down to get something from the floor without panting, my kids are running me ragged and Im not sleeping well either

    I still have 9 weeks left :/

I feel the same way. Used to be fit and relatively athletic but a few months before becoming pregnant I suffered a knee injury and had to tone down the activity level drastically. Had started to work out lightly again a few weeks before becoming pregnant then had to stop because of bleeding every few weeks throughout first and second tri. Actually was mostly on bed rest during first and second.

Now the cause for bed rest is no longer relevant but there's just no point! My lower back, hip, inner thigh and right leg constantly hurt and I'm breathless most of the time. Still haven't prepared everything baby needs but feel too exhausted to. Can't wait to feel like myself again...even though it'll probably never be the same. But it is worth it to me, can't wait for baby to come.

I remember that feeling last pregnancy. I picked up my daughter from nursery and decided it was a good idea to walk the hilly 2.5 mile walk when I was overdue. Seriously thought I was gonna faint as I couldn't properly catch my breath and was getting a zillion braxton hicks. Bad times!

Glad its not just me ! Last time I walked to work until pretty close to the end and I did pregnancy yoga. This time I haven't done anything and we moved just before DS was born so I drive (drove) to work now.

Just hoping all the running around after a toddler makes up for not doing anything.

We were at the swimming pool on Sunday (I was floating lol) and I was eyeing up the fitness classes :) They have a new pilates class starting on a wednesday morning when the creche is on .... I thought oooo that would be great ...... and then thought hold your horses lets see who you get on with a baby and a toddler for a few weeks (months) and then think about fitness classes !! :D

Looking forward to bending over and getting off the couch with out being out of puff though !!!!
