Feeling unprepared

So I just entered my thrid trimester, I am begining to prep for my maternity leave at work and I feel completely inprepared for baby's arrival.

We have not purchased ANYTHING yet. Work is throwing me a baby shower in October and they told me that everyone is chipping in to buy me the crib- - which is GREAT...but we were going to take care of the crib this month so obviously we are now waiting since it is going to be given as a gift.

This is the same for everything else. I will be having a family shower at the end of October so it makes sense to wait to see what we get before going out and spending $$. This is the logical thing to do, but when I go home at night other than the pregnancy managzines laying around, sonogram pics of the fridge, and my belly....there are no signs of a baby being on the way.

Anyone else in the same boat??

I def was in the same boat about a month ago! I hated it!! We had to wait to buy anything as family from out of town have 2 children, and they said they had everything for us to pick up, bassinette, crib, swing, etc etc it was so hard not to buy anything, or stop thinking about it! I felt unprepared as well, my hubby and I started to look at special things we would like to buy lo, like a special stuffed animal, artwork, and the diaper bag. Try to let it be for now, cause once that shower comes you'll be so busy organizing and getting things in gear!
