with regards to fenugreek, does it need to be prescribed?

how much is the normal amount to take?

is it safe to buy online (amazon) or does it have to come from a drug store?

you can buy it from a health food store/holland&barrett and i think it says on there to take up to 3 capsules a day....that's how often i took them to establish my milk supply when my little boy was in SCBU....worked a treat together with double pumping (i also tried milk thistle and eat loads of watermelon and pineapple)
with herbs its often best to spend a bit more and get good quality....maybe ask in a health food shop for advise....
i imagine it's fairly safe....

I took 9 tablets a day and got it from Holland and Barrett. It works out pretty costly though and (tmi alert) my wee used to smell awful My hubby used to complain that the whole house smelt like curry. I took it continuously as soon as my supply dipped. xx

Have to admit i couldn't stand the smell-i gave up taking it after a few days and stuck with porridge, plenty of water and a good diet, that seemed to do the trick as 22 months on we're still at it

No prescription needed. I use that exact kind you linked to above - as far as I know it's as safe as the ones at GNC (I have tried both). I take 3 caps 3x a day when I need a supply boost.

Crossroads, I generally stop after I've noticed an increase for about 3-4 days, and normally my supply remains at the increased level until something else happens to make it dip again (like AF showing up). Your supply should be maintained as long as the demand is there.

I get mine from a health food store..doesn't need to be prescribed.

I take 3 pills, 3 times a day and I did notice my supply dropped when I ran out of pills so I had to get more.

I also upped my dosage to 4 pills, 3 times a day when I got my period back because my supply dropped again.

It took about 2-3 days to notice a difference in the feeds.

Anyone had to take an even larger dose? I thought I remembered seeing someone on here that had to take like 7 pills 3x's a day to see any change. Also I've heard of some women having to take it for a week before noticing a difference. Anyone know about this? I'm trying to decide if I'm one of the few that Fenugreek doesn't work for cuz I don't notice any difference.

no problem, id hate to have to take 7 3x daily, im sure that cant be good for your health

ive ordered some of the fenugreek i linked to, it should arrive in 5-7 days, i hope it arrives earlier and i may even change the shipping to get it earlier because today LO got weighed and hes only put on a lb in 2 months. dr wants me to wean him, hes only 4 months old

I don't know I've heard you can't overdose on it but it can affect your blood sugar.
