On Friday the midwife took my fetal heartbeat through a monitor and it was 143. I went to my doctor today because he wanted to see me because he had not yet since 12 weeks. He took the fetal heartbeat and it was 122. I was clearly upset and he could see that and he said not to worry because the babies heartbeat will fluctuate given what they are doing at the time. He said they usually look for between 110-160. But anyway I am still worried. This is my first child and I have been pretty much on eggshells the whole time. However just thought I would ask if any other mothers have had this kind of fluctuation?

Mine are normally in the 160s, but last time one was 135, so quite a bit lower. As long as it goes back up later is should be fine.

Mine was 120 weeks at just over 20 weeks, had another appointment at 22 weeks and it was 155. My doc told me they look for 110-160 also at my stage in pregnancy.

I think it depends on how active baby is and whether its resting or not. Dont stress, your numbers look fine. Anything under 110 and then I would go get ultrasound and everything checked.

When I listen I freak sometimes coz he drops down to 110-120 but straight away it goes back up to 150 like normal... I noticed its when he is sleepy coz leter that day he will be active as and the hb will be high... im sure u just cought him resting

same here also hun. last time was at 132bpm. my midwife said the same anything between 110 - 160 is ok. xx

It depends if the baby's sleeping or moving around a lot or just still. Last pregnancy the midwife woke the baby up cos it appeared to be sleeping and the heartrate rose immediately.

It's normal:flower:

sounds normal there hb is usually highier to begin with freyas was 160 at 10 weeks then 120ish from 20 weeks
