Hello Everyone!
I was told I had a 9CM fibroid inside my uterus on Dec 2011. I didn’t want to rush to get the surgery done and decided to tackle this by adopting a healthy life style. I actually shrunk the fibroid on my own to 5CM BY August 2012. We decided to try for our first child in October and BOOM we got pregnant!
Everything was going well until I suddenly started having terrible back pain Nov 24th. I was told the fibroid enlarged to 11CM because of the pregnancy hormone and it was distorting my uterus and causing the severe pain we were told there is nothing we can do for the pain, to wait and see what happens. I was recommended to see an OBGYN ASAP. I found a great OB GYN and he told me it didn’t appear the pregnancy was going to be a viable one due to the size and location of the fibroid. I was told to get a second opinion from a specialist. It was confirmed that due to the size and location the fibroid would take most of the blood supply, the risks of loosing the child at 20 weeks were tremendous, my life and that of the baby would be at risk.To make the long story short, we had to terminate the pregnancy by using Methotrexate It was SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE THAT LASTED OVER A MONTH! Finally miscarrying on Christmas Eve, Saddest Christmas Eve ever
I am now on the road to recovery, I start the Lupron shots March 15 and will have 3 more to shrink the fibroid to a manageable size and have a laparoscopy which is less invasive until my surgery which will be in July. I wasn’t too crazy about the surgery but it seems im left with no choice as I DO NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH AGAIN!
Doctor feels confident we will get pregnant after the fibroid is removed. God willing everything goes well and DH and I can start in October and be blessed with our love child
I am not losing hope or faith! We won’t give up on Baby E without a fight!
