Hi all,

I'm currently writing a script to be submitted to the BBC, to produce an hour long special drama about a single father with two sons, one of whom is handicapped by being paralysed from the waist down. I would really appreciate if anyone could help me with my research into creating the lives of these characters.

Could I ask WHY the character is paralysed from the waist down? Does the production involve a reason why?

My daughter has spina bifida and she is paraplegic. I would love to help :)

The paralysed teenage character was hit by a car. He has a brother who is not, and only his father to support them. Thanks for the help by the way :).

I know quite a lot about disabilities as I am a carer.
