So, I usually get my physical in May. We've been TTC since August, and I had planned to discuss some of my concerns with my doc during my physical, figuring it wasn't quite a year, but with my spotting issue (I spot for 3-7 days before AF every month, ugh), it couldn't hurt to get checked out.
Well, I called today to make my appointment, and my doc is booked through September for physicals So instead, I made an "acute appointment," citing issues with my cycle. I'm going in to see her on April 9th.
She's just a GP, not a GYN, but I figured she could do some preliminary tests if I tell her that the spotting is driving me bonkers. I figured I'd ask her to do bloodwork for thyroid levels & progesterone, and request a pelvic ultrasound. I also may ask her for a just-in-case progesterone prescription (the naturopath I saw in January suggested that I get an rx for progesterone and have it handy to use as soon as I see that BFP, because she thinks the spotting may be progesterone-related, too... she couldn't write me the rx because naturopaths aren't licensed to do that in NY.)
Is there anything else you ladies think I should ask for? Does that sound like a reasonable place to start?
