First heartbeat!!

Hey all...I will be 8 weeks tomorrow and my DH and I got to hear our baby's heartbeat yesterday for the first time--AMAZING!! It was 152 and Doc said everything looked great Due date is officially 11/11/11*

Excellent news congratulations - it's the best sound in the world isn't it?

Would you describe it as a chugging train or a galloping horse? The reason I ask is that my friend who is 15wks said that if it's a train it's a boy, if it's a horse it's a girl and she thinks her's sounds more like a train so thinks it will be a boy.

I said I'm going to have to listen again and try to work it out!?!?

Has anyone else heard this theory?
