First midwife appointment

So I have my first midwife appointment on april 14th, looking forward to it. They said it would take about an hour, can anyone tell me what happens in that hour?

Ive got mine on april 26th, cant wait! Cant rember much but think they test ur urine, do bloods, do your weight and height and fill in alot of paperwork, ask you about smoking/drinking/home-life etc. And work out ur EDD if u havn't already! x

well at mine they listened to the heartbeat (although some people get an actual scan-we only get one at 20 weeks) did a breast exam and a pap smear, also a vaginal exam to make sure every thing looked well. Talked about symptoms and how to deal with them and asked any questions we had. mine took and 1hr and 1/2 because I had to have my bp taken 5 times so they wanted me to wait for thirty minutes to calm down. My midwife was very nice and explained everything she except for the things I didn't want her to.
