We went for our first scan today, which was amazing. Our little peanut measured 1.8 cm and we heard and saw the heartbeat. I was so relieved!

One thing the dr said that was really common that she saw was there was a small amount of blood behind one section of the gestational sac, she said it was still attaching fully to the uterine lining, and that it happens all the time, that it might bleed out at some point in the next 4 weeks or it might not bleed out, I guess just go away? She did say to not have intercourse (which we haven't had anyway, because of my gut feeling wanting to wait until our first dr appointment) and to not have any high impact exercise, which I haven't been doing.
Does anyone else have experience with having this and was everything ok?? It is the only thing that makes me slightly uneasy about the appointment.
Thank you!!

I also had some blood showing at my 8 week visit. They said it could work it's way out or be absorbed. Over the past few weeks I have had a slight tinge of blood here and there, but nothing crazy at all. I had my 12 week appt. on Wednesday and they said the blood was gone and everything looked great. I guess my body did absorb most of it. I wasn't told I couldn't exercise so I've still been running a lot.

Thank for sharing your experience! It really helps reassure me. :flower:
