Just changed DDs nappy after her first few days of one solid meal a day , I can honestly say I was not prepared for this! How is it possible that my lovely, sweet little baby just produced something so truly horrendous? No more sweet smelling breastfed poops, that was like Armageddon in a nappy!!! No point to this just felt like I needed to get it out!!!:dohh::nope:

Haha. I hate the the type that gets everywhere!!! And leaks out of the nappy.

Starting solids is a lot of fun until you get to the diapers. They are disgusting!

The solid ones smell so so bad!!! I was also unprepared when it happened to me ;)

I miss breastmilk poo! They didn't really smell and came in a lovely range of colours :haha:

Girls, I seriously am questioning whether I can get through another one! Haha! It was soooooooo gross! And the look of pure innocence on her little face! She had no idea what she'd done!

Urghhhh, one of the reasons I am all to happy to wait for starting solids:blush:! BF nappies are so easy!

My first experience with one was when I babysat an 8 month old. It was my first time babysitting an infant and it was only for an hour, but of course she had to poop during that one hour so off I go to the bedroom to change her. I swear I almost puked on the poor baby :/ And, not knowing how mobile babies are at that age, she had her feet and hands in it before I could do anything  It was vile.

Good thing babies are so darn cute, eh?

Oh god, they are awful aren't they! I did get used to it - but I've relapsed. Being pregnant, my son can be down the end of the garden and I can smell if he needs a nappy change! This can make it quite an experience! The other day, he'd just finished his milk and lovingly burped in my face. I had to rush to the loo to throw up, so you can only imagine how I react to the smell of his poos now! x

Haha, feeling aprehension from reading these posts!!

I'm a teacher (with 4/5 year olds) and before I went on maternity leave, I had to change a significant amount of pooed pants at school (a treat I wasn't expecting to be honest, not at that age?).

It was absolutely UNHOLY. It's basically like dealing with an adult that has pooed at that age. I had to keep up a 'friendly' and 'it doesn't matter' style tone to my voice when changing them, so they didn't get upset, but whilst BORKING my way through it literally.

I guess it didn't help that the children were not 'mine' either. So it really was just a chore to do. Especially as some children almost seemed to do it on purpose/ and or/ didnt care. We used to have a day each week that was 'our day'... if anyone needed cleaning up it was your turn. I still dread a Thursday ;-)

Needless to say the breastfed nappies I had for 6 weeks were NOTHING. I now have my baby on Aptamil formula, and I had fully expected it to change to being quite dreadful, but it hasn't been so bad whatsoever. I'm hoping nothing, NOTHING will ever compare to my experiences at work. It makes me shudder thinking about it.

my lo did a stinky burp yesterday was horendous i was almost sick and im not pregnant :)

Haha, I think I'd really struggle to change someone else's child's nappy if I feel this way about my own precious angels offerings!:shock::shock: I used to heave at DH's fluffs whilst I was pregnant, don't know how I'd cope with nappies! Well done!

The first ones were the worst, especially when LO had rice cereal. It's not as bad anymore. Or maybe my sense of smell has been dulled over time :haha:

i am NOT looking forward to those... my dad tells me all the time "oh they break you in slowly, just you wait"....

my niece and nephew are little stinkers :dohh: a toddler was leaving my midwife's a long while back (obv while i was still preggo) and i almost barfed.. she had all the doors and windows open :dohh:

No point to this just felt like I needed to get it out!!!:dohh::nope:

Bahahahahaha That is how your DD felt :haha: Sorry, I have a strange sense of humor.

I wasn't prepared for how sticky solid poos would be. As Aiden is getting closer to 1, his poo is getting more solid but the smell is still pretty bad. It usually just takes a quick whiff towards one of them to find out which one is the offender. It's a bad moment when they've both gave me a dirty diaper.

This happened to me a couple days ago! Ds just started eating two meals a day and his first big poo was disgusting! He didn't poop the first two days and then he sure did make up for it. It was this nasty peanut buttery texture that stuck to everything and it took four wipes to clean that boy up. It got all over his legs, feet, my hands and my arms. I wanted a shower after changing that vile diaper. I'm ready to just go back to bfding. Can I just bf forever? lol

Ot but are your babies seriously four months apart? They are adorable btw. And as for changing two babies all day, I'd die. One diaper to keep track of is enough, two would set me over the edge! :haha: Kudos to you!

Thank you! Yes, they are 4 months apart. Aiden is adopted, I know all you BNB ladies are too good at conception math to believe they both are mine. It's not too bad really. They are roughly on the same schedule except for naps. I think my daughter believes that one baby must be on all duty at all times until bedtime.

I figured you must have adopted. That's awesome! So cute, they look to be best of friends in your profile pic. Love it. :)

They're horrible aren't they! Holly's nappy looks like a roast dinner at times with all the veg she eats! :haha: And the smell!!

On the plus side, solid poops can usually be put down the loo unlike milk poops!

haha just wait until you get a poop that leaks out the nappy and onto the carpet will take you ages to get the smell away :p since weaning my lo ive gotten used to changing her while holding my breath lol
