So... this was my first pregnancy...it seems to of lasted 1 week since i found out :/ the MC hasn't actually happen yet. I actually feel fine...great... But its inevitable. :/ I posted last week I was freaked out by my numbers doubling properly. The went from 209 on mon to 303 on wednesday and the nurse was concerned but optimistic. Well today a week later they did my blood yesturday and my number went from 303 on wednesday to 269. Yeah it went down. My boobs are still sore, my mouth still has excess saliva. I've had no cramps, no blood. The dr wants me to come in tommorow for another test. I should be a 5w3d. i've already told the few people i had told that this pregnancy isn't happening this time. I did it in text message cause I didn't want the sympathy..

I'm alright. My husband and I are disappointed but at 5 weeks it wasn't a baby it was cells merging. My questions are.... the nurse said something about etopic pregnancy and having to do something to remove it if it is that... What is the process of removal (i'm going to the dr tommorow so they will explain it them but i'm not patience...at all). What causes etopic (i dunno if i'm saying this wrong), I know its when the baby egg doesn't make it to your lining in your uterus and sticks in the tubs. I'm not sure if i did something wrong or if its just one of those things. What are the chances of this happening again. I don't want to be one of those people that keep experiencing loss. :( Has anyone here had a healthy preg since a etopic? i need some motivation. Oh how long after this mc happens can we try again? I was starting to get excited about the lil smig. :/

Hi Tiffany, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm not too familiar with ectopic pregnancies but I believe if they catch it early there is a medication they give you that will basically dissolve it and clear everything out. If that doesn't work or it's too far along they perform surgery to physically remove the embryo from your tube. Obviously they'd do ultrasounds and other tests prior to either treatment.

With how low your numbers are I'm guessing things didn't get too big so if it is ectopic the medication would probably work.

I'm not sure what causes ectopic but have heard that if you have scarring in your tubes that can cause it. There is nothing you can do to cause or prevent ectopic pregnancies, just one of those things.

Best of luck tomorrow at the Dr.

:hugs:
