First Trimester Bleeding Support ~

Hi guys. I am almost 12 weeks pregnant, a nearly two weeks ago I was in the ER with some spotting (This is my 1st baby and I flipped out and a tiny tinge of pink and ran to the ER right away) while I was there and they were reassuring me that some spotting was normal, I had a very heavy bleed/gush all over the table right in front of the nurse while she was putting an IV in my arm. She looked concerned, they brought in an OB (4 hours later) and we did a sonogram showing baby is OK. Good Heart rate and measuring correctly. In the last week and 1/2 I have had 5 more appts, 2 more sonograms. The baby is still Ok.

I am just wondering if anyone had this happen and if you know when I am "out of the woods" with regards to constantly worrying about miscarriage? I am a wreck. There was no pain when it happened. Now I do have pain, on my left side, front of hip (Ovary?) and also in my upper butt on the same side. I am being checked for a kidney/urinary problems. Test should be back wen I go in Wed. I had two cysts on one ovary...I am dying to know if it was the left side (Where the pain is/was). The pain nearly stopped yesterday. I feel very run down (But don't we all!) I am not sure what to think.

I was told bed rest would not stop a miscarriage if it were happening, but I have been nearly on bed rest just because I feel so scared to move. I go out about every third day for the dr, that's all.

The Dr also said the symptomsof miscarriage would be hard to miss at this stage, I have no period style cramping at all...so that's good , I think. There has been some very light pinkish clear spotting, just barley. No more heavy stuff.

I wish they had more definitive answers. This is really hard to deal with. This baby took over 2 years to conceive, I am a cancer survivor, and I am 37.

Sorry this is so long winded. Just wondering if anyone else is going through the same waiting game situation...or has been through it in the past and had everything work out OK.

I also had some bright red bleeding at 9 weeks and went into hospital and had to stay overnight because they were concerned and felt that I needed to rest. They did an ultrasound on the day I was admitted and the day after and diagnosed a small subchorionic bleed (SCH) but other than that everything was OK.

I´ve been resting since then, well not bed rest but taking it easy and not walking around too much, no exercise and no sex. We have the 12-week scan tomorrow so I hope everything is OK. Doctor told me after bleeding that there was an 85% chance that everything would be OK so I am feeling fairly positive.

My midwife didn´t seem at all concerned when I told her what happened. I think the best thing to do is try not to think about it too much as there is nothing you can really do at the end of the day.

They kind of imply that they think everything will be Ok for me too, but it's so hard to believe after something so frightening. I wish there was more they could do/say. I was REALLY hoping my ultrasound(s) would show a subchorionic bleed, but there was no sign of one. I asked. Just anything to hang my hat on.

This hasn't happened to me, but my sister in law bled a lot during her first trimester, and my wonderful nephew is now 13 months. She was at the ER several times, but in the end she was fine. I know that doesn't help you, but I just wanted you to know that there are some good endings with early bleeding.

Hi Everyone , I'm 4 almost 5 weeks pregnant & recently I been noticing brown & little red blood with tiny clots ... I have been feeling some pressure all over my lower stomach , mostly by my ovaries on right & left side . Is this a miscarriage ?? Has anybody experience this & kept the baby ?? Pleasee help been trying for almost 1 year

This hasn't happened to me, but my sister in law bled a lot during her first trimester, and my wonderful nephew is now 13 months. She was at the ER several times, but in the end she was fine. I know that doesn't help you, but I just wanted you to know that there are some good endings with early bleeding.

- Did Your Sis In Law Have Any cramping With Bleeding ?

Yes she did, and she was convinced it was a mc. My brother is actually a dr and he too thought it was mc. She had the cramps for a while even after the bleeding stopped.

- I been spotting since the 20th off & on but cramping jus started .

Go to your early pregnancy unit - that's what they are there for, to help reassure you. I ally hope that your little bean is holding on tight in there

hi ladies,i had a light bleed for 1 and half day day...it was very red but light...most like a period with no cramping...and i rushed to the doc's put me on the ultra sound but couldn't c the beanie (i was 4weeks and 5 days) basically the blood was covering the ma beanie and so the doc checked if my cervix i think - appearently if it's still closed then all is well bt if it's opened then u are miscarrying...so at the end i didn't miscary...doc gave me Ciplaton Preg, some folic acid...and the blood stopped the following day... but was put on bed rest for 5 days...remember that u should not over do things,relax and no laundry or bending down...
