Flip question...

I got a Flip to try out with DD for nighttimes.

I am putting a staydry insert on top and an organic underneath. With a LL fleece liner on top.

I LOVE the way the feel, snap, stretch etc.

But my question is... why are they so HUGE?

It seems sooooo bulky, when LO walks she looks like John Wayne!

Is it just because I have two inserts in there? (Didn't check to see what it was like with just the one)

Yep it will be because you've doubled up on the inserts. We use them with just the stay dry on during the day and they are pretty slim fitting as cloth nappies go.

Yep, Amara's main nappies are Flip's and her butt is so huge with her night time nappy (A flip cover with a flip organic insert and stay dry insert) this lasts 12-14hours. With just a stay dry insert it looks like any normal nappy, infact its a bit slimmer then others she has (BumGenius, totsbot easyfit and smartipants)

Ok that's reassuring

I fell in love with it when I saw and felt it. This will be our first attempt at a nighttime nappy and I feel confident. Her bum is HUGE so if it leaks I will be amazed!

But I can see myself falling in love with these for a daytime nappy. It was so easy to put the inserts in place, and they stayed put! I thought they would slip about and whatnot. The poppers are placed well and I love the stretchy tabs

Trust me - this combo isn't nearly as big as some other night nappy combos - My Weenotions night notions are positively huge.

When she walks though, her legs are bowed. Is this not bad for her??

Ii use exactly the same combo as you at night and yes her bum is big but I've never had a leak!

Not bad for their legs at all, cloth nappies are good for babies development.
Is she likely to poo overnight? If not you don't need the fleece liner, cos the stay dry insert on top is... stay dry :wink:

And yeah it's a big old combination but nowhere near as big as some specialist night nappies ie WNNN. I love Flips in the day, I use organics and they're probably my slimmest and most reliable BTP nappy.

Yes her poos are pretty unpredictable at the minute. And I'm too lazy to sun out stains

My organics inserts are being posted this wk (they'd run out)...are they quite thick then as stay dry insert seems thin

They are relatively thick, because its folder three times if that makes sense. They really are fab though, and absorb so much.

I think they are thick, kind of like the Itti SIO square insert.

i do the exact same- her bum is MASSIVE- but i can easily get 14 hours out of this at night- no leaks at all
