hi girls i was just wondering which folic acid/other vitamins you are all taking, ive just got my BFP this morning so nipped out to my chemists and the only thing they had in was pregnacare original any good? thanks for answering :baby:

Pregnacare is recommended by midwives hun, its fine. Also great for all through pregnancy

yes pregnacare original is great, im taking it all the way through

Yay cant believe youve got your BFP, i remember you from mc support and ttcal :hugs:

I'm taking pregnacare, its fine and recommemned hun x

aw thanks mummy2angel, yey ur pregnant too, congrats, i remember u too :), hope the rest of your pregnancy goes brill xx

I use pregnacare and boots have a 3 for 2 on all vitamins offer at the moment so have bought enought to last the rest of the pregnancy, is quite a good saving.

Pregnacare makes me vomit with in 20 minutes of taking it

I found some prenatal gummi vits. I love them! Its like eating gummi bears lol

i take sanatogen (spelling might be wrong) mother to be pack, its 2 tablets, one like pregnacare with the folic acid and the other vits ect. and then another pill for something else but cant remeber wht it is now and cant be bothered to move!!! lmaox

Pregnacare is supposed to be the best one apparently.

I'm using Pregnacare Plus. I suspect the original ones are just folic acid so you might want to take a multi vitamin tablet too. Just don't forget to ask the pharmacist for a pregnancy-friendly one :flower:

No the Pregnacare original ones have lots of other vitamins in them as well.... But to be honest as long as they have 400mg (sometimes listed as 400ug) if folic acid in them, that's the important bit!

I have just been taking folic acid as recommended and I just have one tablet left to take now. I was in with the doctor on Thursday and I asked him about taking other pregnancy vitamins now that my folic acid has run out but he said he would not recommend any to me as there's simply no need for them. Now im confused when I hear everyone is taking Pregnacare and everything else :S
