Follicle size and growth

So we are having our first Iui on Friday. Took the hcg trigger tonite, and I swear I can feel the follie growing.. It was 18 mm on Monday, I've never had a monitored cycle before, so I don't know how big they should get before ovulation? Can anyone shed some light on size?
The us tech only saw that one, but I didn't think to ask which side it was on..

The trigger wasn't as bad as I thought.. Dh had to give it to me.. He did a good job.

They like to have you at or above 18 for a good ovulation and they can grow up to 2mm a day. Sounds like you were right on the mark.

I was told by the nurse that they want to see like 17 as a good follicle. On CD 10 (today) my biggest follicle was 9mm. What CD are you on if you don't mind?

Well we kind of got a late start this month.. I started the femara on cd8.. And had my Iui on cd 18.. I usually ovulate late anyways I have long cycles... I had my us on cd 14 I had 1-18mm follie
