Just curious what kind you have, is it easy to use, and do you have any trouble finding bub's heart beat?

I may be searching for one VERY soon as today is my appointment to finally hear Peanut's heart beat... but DH is ill and has his Doctor appointment at the same time as mine so he won't be able to hear it! :-( He wants to hear it so bad and looks like he'll miss this opportunity. He's upset and I'm upset and I want to make things all better!!!

ive got the angel sounds its not expensive but works great i have heard baby heart beat since 10+2 :) x

Tape it on your phone! That's what I did for my first one because my bf had to work that day :flower:

I have got the AngelSounds one, very easy to use (although my sis-in-law struggled coz she didn't have any gel with it) absolutely LOVE it!!

Yeh, I love my angelsounds doppler, always been able to find it, sometimes it can take a while but you just have to be patient. It's a very clear and loud sound it gives off too, I'd recommend it x

Angelsounds - never had any prob as long as I use the gel  bought it from babymad.com with some gel.

i have just hired one from ebay, will be here tomorrow. I need some peace of mind since my symptoms disappered at 13 weeks which I know its normal, but i just will drive myself crazy until me next midwife appointment and then til 20 week scan! I am worried that i will not be able to use it right, not hear nothing and panic!

I have angel sounds, very cheap and easy to use. Found the heart beat around 12 weeks on my own...I use vaseline with it.

I have the angel sounds one to. Its fab totally love it! And you can record it onto your computer. I've even recorded my own heart beat to play back to the bub when its here as its supposed to comfort :)

hey there very easy to use, ive found the heart beat every time in a matter of seconds xx

Thank you ladies! So no bad things to say about AngelSounds! I might have to invest in one!

minttea--- THANK YOU for your advice! I recorded it on my phone and DH was able to hear it that way. He was SO happy, I surprised him with it! (And I keep listening to it over and over and over... lol!)

HB was 140's loud and strong. I smiled SO big and I giggled a little, too!!! Cloud 9!!!!

Now I have my Doppler, I'm a bit worried about how often you can use it. Some people say it is safe to use as often as you like, others only to use once or twice a week. How often do you use yours? X

I'd say limit your use to twice a week - that's based on things I've read on the Internet. Tbh now I can feel bubs wiggling about I only use it occasionally if she's quiet or I'm just being nosy mummy! ;-)

No worries! I'm pleased it worked :happydance:

I bought a Lindham baby heart monitor from Argos (uk) its got headphones but it can't be used with gel its just a listener and its rubbish! Tried to take it back and they don't accept refunds, something they didn't mention when i bought it. Very annoyed.

Looks like i'm buying an Angel Sounds, where do they sell them in the uk??? x

Is this angelsounds doppler this one that's on ebay for £20? I've just been looking at them on there and quite fancy one but was worried for £20 it would be crap but if it's good I'll buy one tonight!

^^^ That's the one i've got and i love it!!! Got mine from Amazon, with the gel that you don't really need as any lotion works well with it! :winkwink:

One thing i can't work out how to do is record it to a computer or my ipod? i've got the lead but nothing ever happens when i plug it in?? :dohh::shrug:

Oh gosh I wouldn't have a clue how to do that, I was wondering the same when reading the descrption saying about the recording cable. I was hoping to get one with a loud speaker but for the price it can't be beaten.

Thanks for the tips on the lotion too :hugs:

Hey there, I have the HI-BEBE doppler, and I love it. It has a speaker on the outside so the whole room can hear it. Good for grandparents to hear the heartbeat.
I would totally recommend it!
