for those of you who have had a scan after 36 weeks

I have a scan at 36/37 weeks because I have a low laying placenta and they need to see if its moved.

Im just wondering really If you got to take home any scan pics like you do at your 12 and 20 week scans? Surely baby is very much squashed up in there at that point in pregnancy lol I know all places are different, its just a general question

yeah i had a scan last week and have another one tomorrow (have had loads due to loads of problems) and i have been given a picture at each one. The one last week was just of his face tho as like you say they are big at this stage and cant fit all of baby on the picture

I had one this week (at 39 weeks) and wasn't offered a picture. I wasn't even aware I could get one! I should have asked.

I've had growth scans at 28,32 and have one Monday for 36 weeks. I've not been offered a pic

I asked at my 32 week growth scan and she laughed she said you won't get a good one xxx

Had one at 36 + 37 weeks. Didn't even bother asking for one - I couldn't make out anything!

i had one at 32weeks the visabilty was poor so she didnt give me one x

I had one at 36+4 and same as most of the other ladies I couldnt really make anything out on the scan little ones too squashed up in there and she said she wouldnt be able to get a good picture but just think not long till you get to meet your little one for real now xx

I am just about 36 weeks and had my last scan and asked for a pic and they gave me two!!

I'm in the US, so probably not much help. I have had a scan every 4 wks since 20 wks due to GD/HBP to monitor growth. I have been offered pictures at every scan. However, my last 2 scans (35 and 30 wks) have not shown very much because it is hard to get nice pictures due to her size. At 30 weeks we managed to get a nice picture of her foot, lol, and just the other day we were able to get a general profile but most of her head is off the screen, so it is hard to see it is her profile unless you know what you are looking at.

At 32 and 37 weeks I got awesome pics but I am under the care of the Professor of Gyne. and I think his machine is more powerful. I also just had a scan at 40+1 and didnt get pic but we were all preoccupied by scheduling a section
