for those who did IVF in 2011

I was just gathering up my tax information from '11 and was thinking about all the money we spent for IVF including payments to hosy and perscriptions. So i called my accountant and found out that this is the first yr the gov ( in the states) is allowing you to write off IVF expenses on taxes.

Hmm. Our accountant said to save all of our bills and track the mileage for 2011 to be able to claim it.

yup, mine too ( about miliage) i was told that you could claim anything above 7.5% of your income. so if you make 100,000 ( 7,500 would be 7.5%) then anything you spent on ANY medical over and beyond 7,500 bucks would be deductable. in my case we spent 10,400 just on IVF stuf. I'm also gathering info about payment we made twards other medical things throughout the yr.

this is the first and prob last year that we will spend enough on medical to even claim! (knock on wood) haha
