yup have heard of the pudding club and also buns in the oven .... I am also wondering if knocked up could have the same root?

here's my reasoning - knocking up is also a culinary term; you knock up pastry (though you knock back bread dough) So if I were knocking up pastry, it is possible that I am going to make an apple pie with it, which as we know is a kind of pudding! Or I could be knocking up suet pastry and making a steak and kidney pudding

    what do you all reckon?
