I was just watching a youtube video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARERGD0neMI ) on implantation and it mentioned that pregnancy can actually be detected before implantation with a blood test because all mammals give off a hormone called Early Pregnancy Factor as soon a the egg is fertilized. This hormone suppresses the mothers immune system so that her body does not attack the egg. I thought this was interesting and wanted to share.
